TOUR DETAILS
Day one Departing Westwards from Central London we head to the ancient county of Wiltshire. Avebury is our first stop where we check out the largest stone circle in the World. Then it's off to the world famous Stonehenge via ancient burial mounds, Silbury Hill and the white chalk hill carvings of Wessex. In the afternoon we continue to the colourful festival town of Glastonbury with it's legendary Tor and Abbey. Great pubs, live music and an excellent time for all !
Day two After Breakfast we travel south to magnificent Cornwall. Visit Tintagel Castle (King Arthur's legendary birth place), Newquay, The UK's Surf Capital and party town with amazing surf beaches and ending in the quaint artistic town of St Ives. Then it's out on the waves for some surfing (optional activity). After a great meal we head out on the town and dance the night away!
Day three We begin our day on horseback (optional) trekking through the stunning Cornish landscape. Then we explore the dramatic coastline down to Land's End - visit Sennen Smugglers Cove, enjoy stunning coastal walks and see ancient Celtic monuments on the way. Visit the theatre with a difference, the Minack * - a spectacularly located cliff top amphitheatre for a memorable performance and picnic . Afterwards, a chance to relax or party on the beach and have a drink in the 'First and last pub' in England.
Day four After Breakfast, we head into undiscovered Devon and across the Dartmoor National Park for amazing views and excellent walks through 'Hound of the Baskervilles' Country. Discover the secrets of mysterious Jay's grave, see famous Dartmoor Prison cute wild ponies. A chance to go Caving or Rock climbing (optional activities) before some Real Devon Scrumpy Cider tasting - then it's back to Exeter . There's time to relax with a hearty meal and then out on the town or back to base for a hot spa!
Day five The morning is spent within Exeter's Roman walls. Visit the awesome gothic Cathedral ( extra cost) , medieval underground passages ( extra cost) and see the smallest street in the world. Then it's off to the World heritage city of Bath. Take a stroll around the baths, pump rooms and lively streets before meandering back to London, arriving late afternoon.
