Property description
The Depot is one of the best backpacker style shared accomodation in the area and situated approximatly 200m from the mighty Murray River. We pride ourselves in providing an affordable clean home-like place to stay if you are visit Nyah-Swan Hill Region. Most people come to Nyah-Swan Hill to work on the stone fruit farms and vine-yards in this area. By working in regional (farming district in Victoria) a visitor with all the required immigration permits may qualify for a second 12 month visa to work in Australia.
We DO NOT OWN or OPERATE farms,we can help you to find work on local farms. The local farmers will train you to work on their farms and prefer persons who are committed to work the whole season usually from October to May.Past guests have described our backpacker more like a home stay than a hostel. All facilities such as camp kitchen, communal bathrooms, dinning room and television lounge area are kept fasitidiously clean.
