Hostal Cerveceria Alemana, which is ideally located right in the centre of Cochabamba just 50 meters away from the famous Prado , was completely rebuilt in 2009. The Prado is the most splendorous boulevard in Cochabamba. You will find all kind of shops, restaurants and cafés just at your doorstep. Even Cochabamba's nightlife is situated in the near vicinity.
The rooms are located on the first floor of this completely modernised antique urban villa just next to the first German micro-brewery in Bolivia. You are more than welcome to visit our courtyard brewery and taste our homebrewed beer which is brewed according to the German purity law. A tour of the brewery by our local brewmaster Guido Ramirez can be arranged in the evening and is of course free of charge for our valued guests. Most of the time you will find at least one of the two German brewmasters and owners on site who will be glad to give you firsthand advise and recommendations for your stay in Bolivia.
The rooms are cozy, simple and clean. We have 3 rooms with shared bathroom (1 double and 2 single) and 1 double room with private bath. We have a big roofed terrace overlooking the courtyard and brewery with various hammocks for your personal relaxation. Even the on site beer garden, which is open for exterior guests only on weekends, can be readily used for your recreation at any time.
A sumptuous breakfast including self-made bread with certain amounts of draff (filtered grain from brewing) right out of our clay oven, bolivian specialities like sopaipillas and empanadas, fresh fruits, eggs and self produced organic dairy products (according to season) is included in the room rate.
Please check in on arrival between 12.00 noon and 8pm. If you happen to arrive at other hours, please notify us in advance or contact our manager Guido Ramirez . We do not accept credit cards at this time, please make a cash payment on site (USD, EUR, BOL). There is no minimum stay.
We will gladly organize private tours around Cochabamba and the whole of Bolivia for our guests. Our reliable tour guide Mr. Manuel Ramirez is a great source of information and can even organize a visit or overnight stay at our dairy farm in the beautiful tropical Chapare district for you (3 hrs. away). Mr. Ramirez is a native Bolivian with excellent German language knowledge and basic English language knowledge, he knows Bolivia like the back of his hand.
