Property description
Kukuk's Nest is an 11 room guest house located in uptown Cebu City. We also have a 24-hour garden restaurant and bar that caters to foreign and local tourists. Our menu is an East and West mixture containing Filipino, German, Thai, Indonesian, French and other specialities.
Kukuk's Nest was established in 1989 and has continued to serve its clientele over the years. It is a place where one meets other travelers and learns about the country from those who have been coming here regularly. Tips of where to go and what to do are given to anyone who asks. Just look for Maria.
In addition, the Kukuk's Nest has become a place where local artists and writers meet regularly. Souvenir items like local paintings and shell craft are available to enjoy and to take home to your friends and family left at home.
The Kukuk's Nest kitchen and bar never goes to sleep and will cater to your needs anytime!
This budget place works out ok for those on a backpackers budget. It is near the SSS (social security bld.) and a Kia dealership. These are good landmarks for cab drivers.
A single fan room costs 330 pesos and a double fan room is 450 pesos. Discounts apply for stays of a week or longer. A good discount also applies to the breakfast.
A double air conditioned room is 750 pesos and the double ac is 500 pesos.
The rooms are in 2 old American colonial houses out back behind the restaurant. Most of them will have a shared bath.
The place has a definite character about it with many Indian themed paintings hanging on the walls.
Wood carvings that look something like Picasso might make are scattered about the place giving the place a purple haze kind of vibe.
The menu has a strong German influence and the food is good. San Miguels are 35 pesos.
A cab to Fuente Circle or Robinson mall will run about 45 pesos. It is within walking distance to the Ayala Mall and some bars and restaurants in uptown Cebu
