New in Merida..The guesthouse 'Casa Chalia' is opened since January 2009....Upstairs of the old family house are 6 new rooms, all with private bathroom, cold and warm water.5 of them have double bed with ventilator and airconditioning (Option) , 1 with single bed and only ventilator .....and 100% clean.

Next to the guesthouse we also rent a house, full equiped, with livingroom, badroom, kitchen and garden..for people that like 100 % privacy..

'Chalia' was the nickname for 'Rosalia' . She died on March 2007. Her daughter Rosalinda owns the family house today and, as a tribute to her mother, she named it 'Casa Chalia'

Downstairs is a jacuzzi, breakfast area, small bar and a hangmat-place if you want to relax.

'Posada Casa Chalia' is located in the old Historic Centre. It is only two streets away from the ADO bus terminal and a 10 minutes walk to the Zocalo (Grand Place, City Centre) .
Merida Airport for (Inter)National connections is about 10 minutes by car/bus/taxi..

English, French, Dutch, German and of course Spanish are spoken here.
Our basic purpose is to offer you a CLEAN ROOM and European Service on it . Free advice on visiting Merida and travelling in Yucatan and Mexico is available as the owner of the Guesthouse is born here.
On demand any Mexican or International dish can be served because one of the owner's passions is 'Cooking'..

For sure...If you stay here you will not feel like being in an Hotel. You will feel at Home.
