Property description
La Maison des Pins is set in the village of Villegailhenc, just 5 mins (5km) from Carcassonne and 10 mins from the airport. Ideal for getting in and out of Carcassonne and for visiting all of Languedoc's wonderful countryside, coast and sites.
In the village of Villegailhenc there is a butchers, bar/restaurant, fish shop, bakers, hair dressers, dentist, tabac, doctors and a very well stocked supermarket. The village is easily accessible by bus, taxi or car.
La Maison des Pins is a family run business where the owners pride themselves on offering luxury accommodation at a competitive price. They are not increasing our prices for 2009 due to the world-wide down turn in the economy.
It is ideal for walking holidays as they are in the heart of the countryside and in close proximity to 100 km of off road mountain bike trails at Aragon. There is also a golf course opening just 10 minutes away in the near future as well as another one just the other side of Carcassonne.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay whilst house hunting they will be able to give you invaluable local advice and help.
There are plenty of gourmet restaurants nearby at reasonable prices and wine tours in the area.
We provide complimentary tea and coffee facilities to all our guests in the main dinning area and there are mini-fridges in every room. Each room has been individually designed with luxury in mind. Each room is provided with bathroom towels and beach/swimming towels can be booked separately.
The garden comprises of a private garden area with mature trees. Swimming pool with baby pool, terrace area, a games area with; indoor ping-pong table, darts, pool, coal and gas bar-be-ques and swings.
Children are very welcome to stay at La Maison des Pins, there are children's books, DVDs, toys available, as well as cots and high chairs (these need to be requested upon booking). There is also a toddler pool for babies and small children.
Special features include: Air conditioning, Electric heating in each room and disabled access for La Gallerie. Customers booking on a b and b basis can also use the self catering facilities such as the main dinning room equipped with micro-wave, kettle etc and the use of the bar-be-ques, ideal for people looking for an affordable get-away.
Please Note: The 4 Bed Private ensuite is a large self catering studio apartment with kitchenette, king sized bed, bunk beds, sofa, TV/DVD large wet room
