If you are interested in exploring the industrial heritage of England, enjoy walking or keen to grab a bargain this is the place to stay. Less than a five minute walk from Colne Railway Station with hourly links to Preston. It is also close to Route 68 Cycle Way. Situated between an old mill chimneys, viaduct and Colne Water StableCross will give you a home away from home experience.

You could take a walk to Wycoller which is considered one of Lancashire's finest country parks. Here links with the Bronte family have been uncovered. Colne is a small market town in Pendle a great view of this famous hill can be seen from Boundary Mill where you can pick up top named items for bargain prices, just a short walk from StableCross. Feeling energetic you can walk the three peaks of Weets, Boulsworth and Pendle. Or just take a wander along the canal or even take a boat ride.

Accommodation consists of one twin room, one triple room (3single beds) and one quad room (2 bunk beds) all rooms are en suite and contain hairdryers and a clock radio alarm. Towels and bedding are all provided. Downstairs, in the dining area, coffee, tea, chocolate and soup making facilities are available. There is a TV lounge where board games and the piano can also be played!

No smoking or consumption of alchohol is allowed at StableCross but there is a garden to the rear and a pub just round the corner where live music is often played. Colne has over ten public houses many of which serve meals and provide free entertainment. The town also boast three threatres: The Municipal, The Hippodrome and the Little Theatre it also has a wide selection of restaurants.
