Property description

We carry on business in our guest house Sonnenmatte since 1954. The
hotel resides 2km away from the district Titisee surrounded by meadows
and forests. With 30 rooms and 70 beds, the hotel Sonnenmatte is one of
the town's biggest rural hotels.

The hotel consists of a main building with the evening restaurant, the low budget Cafeteria and some
rooms. Furthermore there is the small and the big guesthouse with the
garden and the swimming pool in the centre of the composition.
The Sonnenmatte is a traditional, family owned hotel in a typical Black
Forest housing.
Our guests can use the public transport in the region for free.

In our restaurant we offer breakfast buffet, half board in the noon or
in the evening or full board. Of course you can dine à la carte as well
and choose Badian or Black Forest-typical specialities from our rich
menu. Additionally we offer you the famous beer from the Black Forest
from our Rothaus brewery or Badian red and white wines for good value.
Room information

The hotel offers double, triple and quadruple rooms in different sizes,
ranging between 16 and 35 m². All rooms are equipped with shower/wc,
hairdryer, satellite tv and a balcony. Some of the rooms have a
telephone and all rooms have wifi internet access.
Babycots are available on request.
Most of the rooms are located on the southern side with view on the
valley, some point north/west to the woods.

between the towns Titisee and Neustadt, at the beginning of the
Spriegelsbacher valley.
This location is the ideal starting point for trips to the Bodensee, to
Switzerland, Austria, France or around the Black Forest with its nice
towns and villages like Triberg, Gutach and Furtwangen.
Everything is in reach by free public Traffic Trains and busses

In the summertime you can bath in the crystal clear waters and relax on
the sunny banks of the lake. Take in the unique surroundings of lush,
green meadows and lawns, babbling brooks and quaint and traditional
Black Forest courtyards. Try hiking, cycling, Nordic walking and have a
round of golf in this magical landscape. Guests receive a 20% Green Fee
reduction on the 9-hole golf course 'Himmlische Hölle' right near the
hotel. The town of Titisee-Neustadt is situated in the corner of Germany
which borders with France and Switzerland, and offers the perfect base
for attractive day trips and tours of the area.

In the wintertime you can hit the slopes and try your hand at skiing and
snowboarding on the pleasant slopes at an altitude of 1000 metres, and
for more advanced guests, a bus takes you to the nearby mountain
Feldberg straight from the hotel. With its 10 slopes and cross country
tracks, this is one of the prettiest landscapes in Germany and is a real
experience. Why not try out a ski shoe hike through the unspoilt nature?
The lake is also great for ice skating in deepest winter, and there is
an ice skating rink nearby as well.
