The No. 16 of Shijin Garden Lane was an imposing dwelling with spacious courtyard, consisting of three quadrangle courtyards locating at the north and facing the south-one major and two secondary courtyards. The courtyard is densely structured, well arranged and delicately decorated, which jointly make it one of the few typical courtyard buildings. Thanks to the repair and maintenance in 2005, it was revitalized and became one of the few well-reserved ancient buildings with hundreds of years of history in Beijing.
