Jodhpur is the largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur and stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. A picturesque road winds up through various gates and walls. Jodhpur is connected with Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai by air. Train connections operate to Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkatta, and almost all tourist destinations in Rajasthan. State Transport buses ply from all major cities to Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner.
